Whether you’re a Stieg Larsson fan or just a fan of nudity, get pumped! Amazon is developing a new television series featuring everyone’s favorite Swedish private investigator Lisbeth Salander.
A few sexy starlet’s have already portrayed the talented surveillance agent and researcher who first appeared in the novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, starting with breakout star Noomi Rapace. She played Salander for the 2009 Swedish film adaptations of the first three books by Larsson - and got naked in them all. Though it wasn’t the first time seeing Noomi Rapace nude on screen - that honor goes to her fully nude appearance in 2007’s Daisy Diamond -it was still a captivating performance that helped kickstart her career over in Hollywood.

Next came Rooney Mara, who played Lisbeth in the David Fincher adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in 2011. That gave us Rooney Mara nude for the very first time, showing all three Bs opposite Daniel Craig in the successful adaptation whose sequels sadly ending up dying in development.

Seven years later, The Crown’s Claire Foy took up the mantel of Salander for The Girl in the Spider’s Web, a fourth book written by David Lagercrantz after Larsson’s tragic death in 2004. It ended up bombing at the box office, and we at Skin Central suspect it might have something to do with the fact that, unlike the previous iterations, all we see of Ms. Foy is some dimly lit booty.

So perhaps if Amazon wants to insure that this new series survives, they should consider upping their skin game and making sure the latest Lisbeth goes back to being nude and tattooed!
