The first weekend in May is typically dominated by big time blockbuster fare, but some smaller, skin-filled indie flicks have slipped through the cracks over the years! Let's take a look back at some of the best nude scenes from films release on May 1 in Movie Nudity History!
2015: Welcome to Me
Less than two years after leaving SNL, Kristen Wiig sought to prove herself more than just a talented comedic actress with this intense drama about a woman with severe mental illness who wins the lottery. An hour and four minutes in, Kristen strips down and walks fully nude through a casino in the midst of a mental breakdown. Sadly we learned later that she was wearing a merkin for the scene, but for a relatively big star to make her nude debut in this way remains something of an anomaly in this day and age...
2009: The Limits of Control
Jim Jarmusch's 10th narrative feature is one of his least talked about. This bizarre tale of criminal (Isaach De Bankolé) who doesn't speak Spanish and is trapped in Seville awaiting further instructions to complete a task of some sort didn't connect with audiences and is rarely talked about, even by his fans. It's admittedly one of his weaker efforts, with Jarmusch's trademark aloof protagonistgetting lost ina plot that remains far too elusive to ever truly come together in a satisfactory way.
One ace up its sleeve, however, is Paz de la Huerta, playing the role she was born to play, "The Nude Woman." From her introduction at the 25 minute mark where she is naked on a bed threatening the protagonist with a gun, she makes the only lasting impression in this otherwise rather forgettable effort...
2009: Break
One of the final films David Carradine made before his untimely death little more than a month later, this mid-level thriller doesn't have much going for it. Other former stars like Michael Madsen and Charles Durning are positively somnambulant in the flick, but thankfully Jamie Lynn comes to the rescue at the 35 minute mark, baring her big, beautiful, natural breasts as she seduces a guy...
1998: He Got Game
Spike Lee closed out the 90s with two of his most underrated films, 1999's Summer of Sam and this basketball flick starring a totally dialed in Denzel Washington. This ends up being one of Spike's most skin-filled joints of all, with Rosario Dawson making an amazing nude debut in the film's final minutes...
Prior to that, however, we get Milla Jovovich as a disinterested prostitute satisfying one of her johns at the hour and eighteen minute mark...

1987: Creepshow 2
This horror anthology sequel ups the ante from the first film in one crucial way, the addition of nudity! While they dialed back everywhere else such as cutting the number of stories down to only three, they didn't skimp on the skin. In the film's second section, "The Raft," we get a nice look at Jeremy Green's breasts as her man kisses her chest...
Meanwhile, in the next section "The Hitch-hiker", former Bond girl Lois Chiles (Holly Goodhead in Moonraker) goes topless when getting out of bed in the opening scene...
1987: My Life as a Dog
Also on this day 32 years ago, this Oscar winning film from Swedish director Lasse Hallström (The Cider House Rules) finally hit North American theaters. This tender coming-of-age tale also features a fantastic full frontal scene from Ing-Marie Carlsson, who is posing nude for a painter when the film's main character drops in from a skylight where he's been peeping...
1987: The Allnighter
May 1, 1987 was jam-packed with movies, apparently. Though this flick sadly has no nudity, it's got lots of sexy scenes with Bangles lead singer Susanna Hoffs, who shows off her incredible body hanging out braless in a skimpy pair of panties...
1981: Graduation Day
Part of the spate of slasher flicks that invaded theaters following the success of Halloween and Friday the 13th, this mostly forgotten flick has some notable nude scenes. 26 minutes in, Denise Cheshire changes in a locker room, giving us some flashes of fun bags in the process...
