Both a US and Japanese citizen, Mahina grew up in the North Shore of Oahu and by sixteen had won her first World Surf League junior title. In 2020, she landed a coveted place on Japan’s Surf team for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and was featured in the 2023 sports documentary Chasing Waves. Mahina first entered the world of television as a camera utility for the series NCIS: Hawai’i from 2022 to 2023 and then in 2024 she stepped in front of the camera for her first ever acting role on the series Rescue: HI-Surf. She puts her talents to work as a surfer who gets injured after wiping out, but not before strutting across the beach in a teeny two-piece bathing suit. Hopefully, there’s a plan to have a wave loosen Mahina’s bikini in the immediate future!
