The British indie flick How to Have Sex (2023) marks the feature writing and directing debut of cinematographer Molly Manning Walker, and follows teenage best friends Tara (Mia McKenna-Bruce), Em (Enva Lewis), and Skye (Lara Peake) as they travel to Crete for what is supposed to be the best summer of their lives. With the goal of partying, drinking, and having sex—Tara, for the first time—the girls soon learn that there's more to life than losing yourself in a whirlwind of hedonism. Of course, the film's title is mostly ironic and there's actually very little sex to be had in the flick itself. That doesn't stop Lara Peake from sporting a pair of pokies in several scenes or Mia McKenna-Bruce from looking amazing in a bikini, but anyone going in expecting a non-stop nudity fest is going to be sorely disappointed!
