The upcoming film We Live in Time is enjoying a press run which means that we are all enjoying Florence Pugh as she does a bit of a press tour to promote her latest movie. She stars in the film opposite Andrew Garfield and the pair have a sex scene. The sex scene is longer than it was supposed to be and there is a reason why. Let's learn more!
This upcoming film stars Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh. The plot of We Live in Time is certainly meant to jerk your tears, but you may jerk something else now that we know there is a sex scene. John Crowley directs the pair as a couple who fall in love and start a family and learn that Pugh's character gets sick with cancer. It's already emotional!
Why did the sex scene go on for so long? The answer is simple: the actors didn't hear the director say "cut".
It's true! The famous actor from The Amazing Spider-Mantold 92NY that the British actors accidentally filmed an extended sex scene. How salacious! Florence hasn't talked about this, but Garfield claims that the two actors filmed an intimate scene for much longer than they should have.
The funny affair reportedly occurred after both Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh failed to hear the word "cut" at all. He said: “The scene becomes passionate, as we choreographed it. And we get into it as it were, and we go a little bit further than we were meant to just because we don’t hear ‘cut’ and it’s feeling safe."
It sounds to me like the pair was REALLY getting into the action. Who knows? Maybe the two of them liked it too much to stop. It's possible that "not hearing the director yell cut" is wishful thinking between the two of them. Either way, they sound like they were really passionate about their fake lovemaking.
Funnily enough, the crew must have believed that, too, because they simply waited for the pair to stop. The cinematographer even turned his camera away out of politeness until they were done. Garfield said that he turned the camera to the wall! This means that we do not get to see most of this extended sex scene. Dangit!
The actor described how the pair ended up finally stopping the scene. He said: “At a certain point, both of us, I feel like, we were both telepathically saying to each other, this feels like a longer take.”
We Live in Time opens on October 11, so you can rush to the theaters and see if you rush in your pants for their sex scene. We think there's going to be nudity, so we will get to see some action even if we don't get to see the long version.
In the meantime, we can enjoy some other sexy scenes from our favorite starlet Florence Pugh. As always, she is going to make us all spew:
