Elisa & Marcela (2019)

In 1901 Elisa Sánchez Loriga and Marcela Gracia Ibeas became the first gay couple to wed in Spain — only they did so by pretending to be a heterosexual couple since one of them dressed as a man. If you think this sounds like a great plot for a movie, you’re right. Yentl (1983) had “Anshel” (Barbra Streisand) wed Hadass (Amy Irving) in 1904 Poland. In Albert Nobbs (2011), Glenn Close plays a woman living life as a man who proposes to Helen (Mia Wasikowska) during the late 1800s in Ireland. Following these films is Elisa & Marcela (2019) which begins at a Catholic school in A Coruña. There, sensual students Elisa (Natalia de Molina) and Marcela (Greta Fernández) form an emotional and, luckily for us, physical attachment. Throughout the movie, the members on audience members will go north as the sexy story moves from Spain to Portugal to Argentina. In fact, we get to watch the skintastic senoritas reveal their beautiful boobage, bare bunnage and fluffy muffage as well as their lesbionic lustage while getting sapphically graphic in several scenes. Together, this dyke-namic duo swap spit, lick nip and suck toes. Talk about foreign tongues! Indeed, even though this black and white flick features dialogue in Spanish, the girl-on-girl action needs no translation! Maybe that’s why the motion picture was considered to compete at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. The movie failed to win the fest’s Golden Bear Award. However, it did inspire Mr. Skin to beat his Golden Monkey!
