Loosely based on the scribblings of real-life pro boner Kathy Reichs, Bones focuses on the doings of forensic anthropologist Emily Deschanel—a.k.a. "Bones"—and her right-hand G-man, David Boreanaz. Together, these two and their crime-busting crew get to the bottom of murders by studying remains until all that remains to be done is to make an arrest. It's a clever crime procedural that incorpse-orates science into the story, and Emily is one Bones you'll want to bag. While there are plenty of hot ladies over the course of the series that are worth wanking over, even in their fully clothed forms, the show is also totally capable of keeping viewers entertained just through sheer solid storytelling. If you're a fan of Kathy Reichs' books you'll find plenty of enjoyment through the slightly odd amalgam of Kathy and her main character Temperance Brennan. The chemistry between Brennan and Booth was pretty enjoyable from the start as well. As anyone will quickly notice the episodes focus far more on character development than they do on plot, which makes Bones one of the quintessential comfort TV shows to ever exist. You don't have to use much brain power or emotional bandwidth to stay engaged with this one. You can basically put it on in the background while cleaning the house or whatever and not miss a whole lot. David and Emily are the types of house guests you don't mind having! It's just too bad there's not more content featuring T and A. Bones may provoke a boner nonetheless!
