When the shows are being broadcast on Channel 69, there's a sort of unwritten rule that they have to be dirty. At least, that's the rule in the low budget 90's comedy Anarchy TV (1997). Back when Gen X was sticking it to the man and rejecting corporatism whenever they could, Jonathan Blank grabbed a bunch of Frank Zappa's kids and made this flick about the teen slacker Jerry (Jonathan Penner) and his friends who run a wild cable access channel where they talk about conspiracy theories and play goofy pranks. But when a pearl clutching televangelist (Alan Thicke) decides to buy the channel and shut down the immoral material they make on their shows, the kiddos lock themselves in the TV station and decide to plead with the public for help. But when the public proves apathetic, they decide to get pubic. After stripping down to be fully nude whenever they're onscreen, the ratings go way up and people become far more interested in their cause. It's a ratings boost, as well as a pants lifter, and the outrageousness builds to a climax when naked aerobics hits the air with the fetching talents of skinful Jessica Hecht and Tamayo Otsuki. Jess and Tamayo rock full bushes as they hop in front of the camera and do their naked aerobic routine. Who needs P90X when you can get your blood pumping to nude members of the fairer sex? Later Tamayo will clutch some boxer wearing dude, and Jessica ill stay topless as she does some work behind the camera, giving our boner a bonus peek! Forget Wayne's World, this is the cable access show that's really escellent! Anarchy TV may not be what The Sex Pistols had in mind when they sang "Anarchy in the UK," but it makes you want to cock your sex pistol!
