She's not a teenage witch and she doesn't dance in a ballroom with Humphrey Bogart, but Sabrina Scharf may well become the first thing you think of when you hear the uncommon name, after seeing her breadth of breasty work and hearing about her efforts to save mother earth. Sabrina was hot for teacher, having married her algebra teacher as a teen. But after realizing her seX appeal was unequaled, she wondered whY she was wasting her life away as a housewife. Sabrina ditched Mr. Math and headed to the big apple, where she took acting classes and became a Playboy Bunny in the famed New York City Playboy Club. TV work soon followed, with Sabrina appearing in huge shows like Star Trek, Wild Wild West, Gidget, I Dream of Jeannie and Gunsmoke. But her nude debut will likely forever be her best known work. In the generation defining road movie Easy Rider (1969), Sabrina plays Sarah, a hippy who shows her boppers skinny dipping with Dennis Hopper. Sabrina popped up in some episodes of Hogan's Heroes, Hawaii Five-O and Mannix, but was never as committed to acting as she was to saving the environment. Sabrina was serious about her flower power, so she ditched acting in the seventies and became an environmental activist, eventually coming just seven hundred votes short of becoming the first women elected to California's upper house in 1972, when she ran for California state senator. While still fighting for the environment, Sabrina opted to begin working in real estate, where she remains today.
