Hello Mexico, goodbye sperm! That’s the rally cry of the hairy palms at Skin Central whenever south-of-the-border cutie Evangelina Sosa hits the screen. She first did just that without clothing in Ángel de fuego (AKA Angel of Fire) (1992), a drama that starts with a quick full-frontal shot and gets better from there. There’s more bush in this movie than in Africa! With Herod’s Law (1999), Evangelina proved she was no flash in the pan, flashing her pan-American charms for the second time. Unfortunately, that was also the last time. Evangelina has kept her clothes on for the past 20 years. Worst of all, she's had three dozen opportunities to do so on film and on TV. Her semi-recent film credits include Los maravillosos olores de la vida (tr. The Wonderful Smells of Life) (2000), Critical Point (2002), Deadly Swarm (2003), Sexo, amor y otras perversiones 2 (tr. Sex, Love and Other Perversions 2) (2006), Breve cuento sobre la aparición espontánea de un árbol imaginario (tr. Short Story about the Spontaneous Appearance of an Imaginary Tree) (2007), Letters to Elena (2011), Memories of My Melancholy Whores (2011), and Lalo & Santaclós (2012). As for TV, she's appeared in the shows Lo que callamos las mujeres (tr. What We Women Keep Quiet), Tan infinito como el desierto (tr. As Infinite as the Desert), Lo que la gente cuenta (tr. What People Tell), Fierce Angel, and Un día cualquiera (tr. Any Day). Hopefully any day now Evangelina will return to skinema. Ms. Sosa's suck-sacks are so so good.
