Giovanna Di Bernardo made us stand up and pay attention in our pants when she landed in her debut, a provocative Western titled Pistol Packin’ Preacher (1971), one of a long line of Italian takes on the classic American genre. But that never prepared us for her next role, in the mystery What Have You Done to Solange? (1972). The story about a teacher who is having an affair with one of his students and they both witness a murder that sets off a gruesome cycle of violence, is redeemed by the sexiness of our brunette babe, who is seen naked in the shower with a blonde consoling her. It consoles us, too.
