While Karen “Big Uns” Russell has appeared in such quality pictures as Mobsters (1991) and Dick Tracy (1990), both of which feature her as a showgirl of some ilk, the bulk of her career was spent in B-movies which call for gratuitous nudity in damn near every scene, which Ms. Russell happily obliged. While the special effects and the cheesy dialogue scream low budget, when it came to the sexpense of Karen's tits, filmmakers wouldn't budge! And we couldn't stop bulging! After her debut in 1985’s Tenement, Karen showed how her chest cannons were a great distracting and disarming tool against a few armed men in Vice Academy (1989). Can't shoot a gun when dis arm is firmly down your pants! Decades before Resident Alien hit SyFy, Karen aggressively seduced a nerdy high schooler in Dr. Alien (1989), added a quick flash to our spank banks in The Banker (1989), and went for a wild ride on top of a lucky man in Murder Weapon (1990). Sundance himself, Robert Redford got red in the face, and found himself unable to handle her sexy burlesque dancing in Havana (1990), before she went topless for a much wilder, hair metal man in Shock 'Em Dead (1991). Bi and large, which is what Karen turns women and men into, respectively, the nineties were for the most part where Karen's career ended, as she basically abandoned acting and went on to found "Yoga Groove Entertainment", which creates all sorts of yoga based workout videos. As much as we enjoy her in tight pants doing downward dog, we preferred when Karen Russell was in the groove of popping her top off in a movie a month!
