The daughter of famed Scottish photographer Harry Benson, who was known for his celebrity portraits and had the documentary Harry Benson: Shoot First (2016) made about him, like so many pretty girls before her, Wendy Benson-Landes first hooked audiences through guest spots on TV shows like As the World Turns, Beverly Hills, 90210 and scoring a recurring role on the lesser known Sam Waterston Civil rights drama I'll Fly Away. But while we're happy to document her successes, the truth of the matter is in the next couple of years the small-breasted cutie remained a staple of forgettable boob-tube ventures such as the gym set murder mystery Muscle, Secret Service Guy, and the 90's reboot of Flipper. When none of those sent her into the superstar realm, she had time to test the waters on the big screen. We got a good look at her sexy girl next door features barely held back in a bra in Pretty Poison (1996), although we have to admit we liked the looks at her in a cheerleader's uniform even better. Horror fans might remember her work in the monkey paw thriller Wishmaster (1997), but after her return to TV failed again when she played juco student Barbara Caulfield on the short lived talking bunny sitcom Unhappily Ever After, we were pawing at ourselves seeing her getting lucky in Luck of the Draw (2000). Starring opposite Dennis Hopper, Eric Roberts, Ice-T and Michael Madsen, in the witness to a crime drama we get to witness a super brief peek at her petite pair as she rolls around in bed. Wendy moved on to play Tony Award winner Julie Harris in the James Franco starmaker James Dean (2001), and Maria in Burlesque (2010) all while continuing on TV as Colleen Henderson in Desperate Housewives, Cathy on Mad Men, and joining Ted Danson on a 2021 episode of Mr. Mayor. While Wendy's starring roles kept coming in shows that just didn't catch on with the public, whenever Wendy Benson-Landes was on screen, we couldn't take our eyes off of her.
