Delicate Czech songbird Markéta Irglová was born in Prague, but spent nearly half of her life in Ireland before teaming up with fellow musician Glen Hansard to play a recent immigrant in the romantic drama Once (2006). After the film became a sleeper hit (and eventually won an Oscar for Best Original Song), Glen andMarkéta hooked up and toured the world as The Swell Season. They've since broken up, but thanks to the documentary about their journey (also known as The Swell Season), we'll always have the image of Markéta's naked self skinny-dipping on the beach.
