Born and raised in South Philly as Amber Rose Levonchuck (no wonder she dropped the last name), she rose to fame as a video vixen, model, and as the girlfriend of Kanye West. The two first collaborated when she appeared in the music video for “Put On” by Kanye and Young Jeezy in 2008, then posed for a Louis Vuitton print ad wearing West’s sneakers. They dated for two years, ending in 2010, and have been sniping at each other ever since. Amber popped up in videos with Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Mary Mary, Future, and several for Whiz Khalifa. And speaking of Whiz, she also dated (2011), married (2013), and had a kid (2013) with him before they called it quits in 2014. Known for her dangerous curves and shaved, blonde head, she’s been the spokesperson for Smirnoff; was a judge on the DJ competition Master of the Mix reality TV series in 2011-2012; appeared on Dancing With The Stars in 2016; had her own series, The Amber Rose Show in 2016; has been a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and America’s Next Top Model; and a panelist on Hip Hop Squares. Although she’s done just fine being nobody but herself, the skintillating, sexy siren has dabbled with fictional characters on the big screen. She was Tara X in Gang of Roses II: Next Generation (2012) with a gaggle of hotties like Teyana Taylor, Rocsi Diaz, and Laila Odom; the bikini-wearing MarryWanna in School Dance (2014), written and directed by Nick Cannon and starring Pete Davidson, Tiffany Haddish, and Patrick Warburton; and Lexi in Sister Code (2015), where she is fine beyond fine, and busting out of a variety of lingerie, including a black bra with cut-outs, a white silky bustier, and a sheer, strappy bra.
