Michelle Minjung Kim proves you don’t always have to be the star of the film, or play a supporting role, or even have a part where you actually speak—sometimes it’s enough to just be young, and beautiful, and hot, and wear a red and white bikini. The Asian sizzler did just that in a memorable scene in the movie Sex and the City (2008), the movie follow-up to the hit HBO series starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin David, and Kim Cattrall—who witnesses Michelle’s literal moment in the sun. Her character Samantha watches from a balcony as the young starlet runs onto the beach, leaps into a guy’s arms, and squeals with delight. He takes full advantage of her proximity and peels down one side of her bikini top to reveal a perfectly shaped, perfectly tipped breast. Michelle arches in his arms, and we get an even clearer view of her fine figure saluting the sun. Kim/Samantha is intrigued, and so are we (though she’s more interested in the guy, and Mr. Skin is all about magnificent Michelle). It wasn’t a star turn, it wasn’t a big role, and her character didn’t even have a name other than “Dante’s girl,” but it was a memorable cinematic moment—which is a really good thing, since it was Michelle’s solo role in front of the camera. No other credits are listed on her acting resume (not even the prerequisite short features other actresses have listed), and a fairly thorough Google search didn’t reveal any Michelle Minjung Kims who fit the appropriate time frames, beauty levels, and hotness factors. One and done.
