Forget about How I Met Your Mother (2012-2013), we’re more interested in meeting Becki Newton who played Quinn Garvey on the popular sitcom from 2012 to 2013. After studying European History at the University of Pennsylvania, the brainy blonde moved to New York City where she pursued the acting profession. It didn’t take long for the gorgeous ingenue to land commercials and appear on plenty of television shows—from hosting Burly TV (2001) to guest starring on The Men’s Room (2004) and American Dreams (2004) with the long-running daytime soap The Guiding Light (2003-2004) in between. But her big break came when she was cast as Amanda Tanen on the ABC comedy-drama Ugly Betty (2006-2010). While playing the part of an insecure sex kitten, Becki pushed the restrictive TV boundaries by showing up in cleavage-popping bras, scanty panties, and even a naughty nurse’s uniform! It’s no wonder she won the Glamour Award for Comedy Actress in 2009. Yet when we look at Becki in anti-ugly attire, it makes us wonder why the show wasn’t called Beautiful Babes instead. Perhaps that’s why Ms. Newton moved her character to the show’s spinoff series Mode After Hours (2008-2009). Soon after, she played a Big Apple babe looking for love and sex (but mostly just sex) on NBC’s anthology series Love Bites (2011). Since then, the hardworking hottie continued to be seen on the small screen via recurring roles on HBO’s Divorce (2018-2019) and the CBS thriller Tell Me a Story (2018-2019)—making Becki a boob-tube queen!
