Marina Melin suffered a nervous breakdown after appearing in her first film, the first film by shlock master John Waters called Eat Your Makeup (1968), a comedy about a deranged nanny. That could affect a person. But she couldn’t stay away from her mentor, and Waters continued to cast her in his classic exploitation flicks, such as Pink Flamingos (1972), Female Trouble (1974) and Desperate Living (1977). The latter was a masturbation piece of female domination in which Marina appears fully nude, from her nipples down to her bush.
