The word franchise need not conjure up images of limp McDonald’s fries and greasy Kentucky Fried Chicken thighs; not when the likes of steamy and stiffening Danish blonde Cecile Thomsen is lending her powder-smooth thighs; rich, creamy cleavage; dazzling, deep eyes of blue; and covergirl-pure face to one of cinema’s most enduring multiple-release institutions: the James Bond flick. But before she landed that historic role, the girl from Bogo was a fashion model who went out with, and appeared in music videos alongside Canadian rock god Bryan Adams. That relationship fizzled when, according to Cecilie at least, Bryan started cheating on her with Princess Diana. Cecilie may not have been royalty, but she does have one heck of a crowning achievement. Cecilie made her movie debut as the lovely linguistics professor Inga Bergstrom in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997). After her class at Oxford, Inga naturally ends up in bed with Bond. While those movies never let us see their women getting the big O from 007, we do get to see her naked body in bed, although Pierce Brosnan is covering up most of it with his. Moneypenny calls before we get the money shot, but we do get to hear all sorts of tongue puns. Cecilie moved on to the Studio 54 flick 54 (1998) but kept studying her craft at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University until she graduated in 2001. But while she was now a trained actress, Cecilie only acted every once in a while in stuff like Visions of Europe (2004) and most recently No Time For Love (2009). We will always have a special bond to this Bond girl, and we haven't given up hope shell reappear in movies and give us some genuine nudity someday. After all, tomorrow never dies.
