Of course, Maribel’s career began as a girl, when the seven-year-old ingénue made her movie debut in Tres de la Cruz Roja (1961). Youthful parts in La gran familia (1962), El Camino (1963), and The House That Screamed (1969) followed. But once she grew up and out, the pretty performer made La Cera Virgen (1971). Next came her first starring role in The Blood Spattered Bride (1972). Based on the 1872 vampire novella Carmilla, the kinky horror flick features Simón Andreu, Alexandra Bastedo, Dean Selmier, and Maribel’s amazing body double.
