When it comes to the flesh flashed in Bring It On (2000), we say bring it on! The cheerleader comedy features trash-talking teens in teensy-weensy skirts. That’s the magic that makes this uproarious romp work. Upper-class blondie Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst) has just become the head of her champion cheering squad at San Diego’s Rancho Carne High School. She’s looking forward to another year on top of the heap when she learns their chants were actually stolen from the working-class Black lasses of East Compton High, led by gorgeous Isis (Gabrielle Union). This can only mean one thing: it’s on! With big competitions coming up fast, the white chicks have to come up with some new tricks. As such, Kirsten does a nice jig on her bed wearing next to naught. The same can be said of the gals (Clare Kramer, Eliza Dushku, Nicole Bilderback, and Tsianina Joelson) who flaunt their fit figures in panties and bras. Ms. Dunst and Ms Dushku also vamp around a carwash in slinky bikinis. Now, that’s hot! Due to its box office success, the pic was followed by Bring It On Again (2004), Bring It On: All or Nothing (2006), Bring It On: In It to Win It (2007), Bring It On: Fight to the Finish (2009), Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack (2017), and Bring It On: Cheer or Die (2022). Even though none of the original cast members reprised their roles for these sequels, Mr. Skin was on hand to watch them with one hand!
