A true classic of the rock ’n’ roll horror subgenre, Black Roses (1988) features Broadway sensation Sal Viviano in his film debut. Sal plays Damien, the lead singer of a pop-metal band called Black Roses, who blows into a small town for a few performances and, after demonstrating their harmlessness to the concerned parents with a syrupy ballad, show their true colors as a demonic evil bent on turning the local teens into crazed killers. Along the way, we get to see rackage from Robin Stewart and Karen Planden’s dark-nippled body double. Let’s make Wood City!
